《一念久长》
A Thought That Lasts Forever
by Jinxiu Hui / 锦绣灰
✦
People live in this world, amid love and desire,
living and dying alone, coming and going alone.
Yet occasionally, there is such a moment.
Fireworks rise to their highest point,
the aurora flows across the edge of the sky,
a hidden fish leaps out from beneath the water,
a flying bird settles upon the surface of the sea.
I want to walk with you,
to the end of this lonely and barren lifetime.
Such a moment,
even if only a moment,
is everlasting.
From the equator to the North Pole,
from San Francisco to Sicily,
from the Maldives to the ends of the world,
I will not say I love you,
whether sincerely or falsely.
