Extra 11. Spring 2019
In the autumn of 2018, Xu Cheng was promoted to captain of the brigade.
Xu Cheng did not feel much change in practice, only that he traveled on business a little more often. Fortunately, it was usually just one or two days. If it happened to fall next to a weekend, he would simply bring Jiang Xi and Jiang Tian along and make a trip of it.
The one or two business trips each month did not affect their relationship in the slightest. They still kept the habit of chatting every night. When together, they chatted while cooking, while watching TV, or simply curled up on the sofa talking. When apart, they kept video calls on as they spoke.
They chatted idly about what they had seen during the day. He told stories of the odd characters he encountered during field work, and the moving people and events he witnessed. She talked about classmates doing something hilarious, or a particularly good painting she had seen.
They were not always in the mood to talk at the same time. Occasionally there were ebbs and flows.
Sometimes Xu Cheng talked more, and Jiang Xi said little. Sometimes Jiang Xi rambled, and Xu Cheng listened quietly. She would tell him the old lady next door had given her homemade congee, with brown sugar and crushed peanuts added, very delicious. She would complain that someone had actually been smoking in the stairwell…
Every business trip was a brief separation; reunion naturally felt sweeter than a wedding night.
They had always been in sync in sex. It was as if whenever they touched, sparks could fly. Even their thoughts constantly collided.
Once, Xu Cheng went on a longer trip and was away from home for four days. The moment he entered the house, he hugged Jiang Xi and kissed her from head to toe. After tumbling together on the sofa to their hearts’ content, he held her and kneaded her gently.
“Jiang Jiang, I missed you so much. On the way to the train station I saw a shop and couldn’t resist buying you something.”
“What is it?”
He suddenly felt a bit embarrassed, laughing so hard his chest trembled.
It was several sets of sexy lingerie, each not even as big as his palm. Black, red, white…
Jiang Xi’s face flushed instantly red. She buried her head into a cushion and laughed.
He touched her waist, coaxing, “I’ll go shower right away. Wear them for me tonight.”
Jiang Xi lifted her face. Even her ears were red. She spoke softly. “I… bought some too. I washed them yesterday.”
Xu Cheng’s eyes burned. “Show me!”
Hers were the cute kind. A bunny girl outfit.
There was a small collar around the neck, and on the lace panties, behind the hips, was a short, round, fluffy bunny tail.
She came out from behind the bedroom door fully dressed, her face red like a tomato. “Is it too… cute and childish?”
Childish? She looked like crystal grapes wrapped in silver thread.
Xu Cheng’s gaze darkened, blazing with fire. The blood in his entire body seemed about to surge from his nose. He pulled her into his arms and pressed her down, kneading her fiercely against his chest. His voice was frighteningly hoarse.
“Jiang Jiang, you’re sexy as hell.”
She was practically going to kill him.
By the time that weekend ended, all the sets of lingerie were torn apart. Including the one she bought; the bunny tail had been ripped off.
In sex, Jiang Xi had already returned to the frank and straightforward style of earlier years. All her feelings and desires were spoken aloud. Her admiration and love for his body were also expressed without reserve. He was the same, and thus they became even more in tune.
During that time, Jiang Xi often liked to touch little Xu in his soft state, saying sweetly, “I really like it when it’s soft. Super cute. Hehe.”
“Hey?… Don’t let it get hard yet!”
“Is that something I can control?!”
Her fondness existed not only in words but in action.
She would always take the initiative to kiss him, to caress him. These were Xu Cheng’s favorite moments. She was like a soft little snake, and like warm cotton candy, sticking everywhere, clinging everywhere. Purely expressing:
“Xu Cheng, I really love kissing you. There’s nowhere on you I don’t want to kiss.”
Sometimes, in moments like this, it felt as if the present overlapped with the past. As if they had returned to their youth, returned to the boat.
They also used toys.
Jiang Xi quite liked them, and Xu Cheng liked watching how much she liked them. Just watching made his heartbeat speed up and his breathing grow heavy. He could not handle it at all.
He asked, “Do you like it?”
She would nod obediently. “Mm…”
But when he came to her, she would pant in his ear and say, “I still like you more. You’re real, alive, warm. Mm… resilient.”
Every time, words this blunt made him completely lose control, his blood surging hot and wild.
Life flowed eastward like a river. By the spring of 2019, Xu Cheng once went on a business trip to Xuancheng. It happened to be Friday, so as usual he brought Jiang Xi and Jiang Tian along.
Xuancheng had a very large ancient-style themed amusement park. On Saturday, the three of them went to the park. Jiang Tian held onto an anti-lost leash.
Jiang Tian could now go to certain crowded places, provided no one struck up conversations, disturbed, harassed, or attacked him. Jiang Xi alone would not dare bring him to such a place, but with Xu Cheng there, it was no problem.
There were many ancient-style scene games and NPCs in the park. Jiang Xi did not have much stamina, so after playing the few she was most interested in, they mainly watched performances.
Xu Cheng loved watching any performance with her. She had an eye for beauty and enthusiasm for applauding. She always clapped hard and laughed with delight.
After watching several shows, they arrived at a martial monk performance stage. The performers on stage were professionals, their kung fu solid and their presence imposing, drawing waves of cheers from the audience.
The host invited audience interaction, with prizes to be won.
Several tourists eagerly went up to learn the moves. Ordinary people could not match the monks’ fluid motions, bringing bursts of laughter from the crowd.
Jiang Xi’s eyes sparkled. “They’re so handsome! All so full of masculine charm!”
Xu Cheng glanced at her. “…”
Jiang Tian said, “Xu Cheng-gege, you go. You’re better than them.”
Xu Cheng said, “Not going. Looks silly.”
As he spoke, the host handed out gifts to participating tourists. It was a My Melody wearing a pink princess dress, far more delicate than the usual My Melody.
Jiang Xi let out a “Wow,” her eyes going wide.
Xu Cheng rolled his eyes, but when the host invited audience participation again, he stood up.
Seeing Xu Cheng’s tall frame and well-proportioned muscles, the martial monk enthusiastically began teaching the moves. He demonstrated a horse stance punch, his fist cutting through the air. Xu Cheng immediately copied him, his posture and strength no less impressive, even surpassing him.
For the next few moves, he could complete them in sync before the monk had even finished demonstrating.
Cheers erupted from the audience below.
The monk clearly grew more serious than before and moved on to a difficult move, performing a side aerial.
The crowd gasped.
Xu Cheng remained calm. Before the monk had even landed steadily, he followed with a side aerial of his own. He wore a loose long-sleeved T-shirt. During the flip, in the brief instant he was upside down, the hem fell, revealing a strip of lean, powerful, sexy abs.
A chorus of girls’ screams and laughter rose from the crowd.
Jiang Xi covered her mouth as she laughed, her smiling eyes curved.
Next came whirlwind kicks into horse stance, single-butterfly steps, and a series of difficult moves. Xu Cheng and the monk completed them all beyond expectations. The audience’s cheers rang to the sky.
The monk was clearly delighted by the exchange and cupped his fists in salute to Xu Cheng. Xu Cheng returned the salute, but then turned to look toward the host, staring straight at the My Melody.
The host handed him the prize. Before he could even ask a few questions, Xu Cheng jumped off the stage and rushed straight to Jiang Xi, stuffing the super cute plush bunny into her arms.
Jiang Xi looked up at him, her smile bright as sunlight filling the sky. “I knew you’d go up and win it for me, hehe.”
After the show dispersed, Jiang Xi hugged the My Melody. She loved its delicate puffy princess dress and could not put it down. She also could not let go of Xu Cheng. “You were so handsome on stage!”
Xu Cheng said, “I’ve trained in combat before. It’s nothing.”
Jiang Xi’s eyes shone. “Your abs looked especially sexy on stage.”
Xu Cheng glanced at her and leaned close to her ear. “We’re outside. Hold it in. The car is far away too.”
Jiang Xi laughed and buried her face in his chest.
But before they reached the next performance venue, they ran into a parade. Several handsome men in ancient-style costumes stood out among the procession. Jiang Xi looked at them a few extra times.
At that moment, Xu Cheng had been saying, “This My Melody’s dress really is pretty. The material is good too.” When he finished, he realized no one responded. He turned his head and saw Jiang Xi watching the handsome men.
Xu Cheng stopped talking and looked at her silently.
There were many people ahead blocking the view, so Jiang Xi even stood on tiptoe to look. Jiang Tian quietly tugged his sister’s hand in reminder.
Jiang Xi came back to herself and saw Xu Cheng staring gloomily, smiling without smiling. “Good-looking?”
Jiang Xi pressed her lips together, eyes curved as she smiled at him, opening her arms for a hug.
Xu Cheng poked the center of her forehead with a finger, stopping her from pouncing forward. “Nice try.
I’m asking you. Good-looking?”
Jiang Xi knew he would not believe a lie, so she muttered, “Still… okay.”
Tourists had already gathered in groups to follow the parade, blocking the path ahead.
“Standing on tiptoe is tiring. Sit on me and watch.” Xu Cheng crouched down and lifted Jiang Xi onto his shoulders.
Jiang Xi gave a small cry. She was already seated on his shoulders, her view rising to a height she had never reached before, looking down at the backs of everyone’s heads. Everything around her was perfectly clear. The experience was novel, but…
“Put me down.”
Xu Cheng refused. “Keep watching. I’m afraid you haven’t seen enough.”
“Enough, enough.”
“How is it enough? You love looking at handsome men the most.” Xu Cheng said, “Today I’ll let you look your fill.”
Jiang Xi was both amused and embarrassed, carried on his shoulders for more than ten minutes without being put down.
She was stubborn. He was stubborn too.
Later, Jiang Xi lowered herself and whimpered softly above his head, “Ah, I was wrong. Tonight I’ll give you…”
Xu Cheng kept a straight face but could not hold back a smile. He set her down and pulled her into his arms.
Jiang Tian walked up and asked, “Xu Cheng-gege, is it my turn now?”
Xu Cheng flicked his forehead.
They played to their hearts’ content and headed back. On the way, Xu Cheng did not drive toward the hotel but took another route.
Jiang Xi thought they were going to a restaurant and paid no mind. Whenever they went out, he arranged everything properly. She looked in the mirror at the ancient-style hairband on her head. She liked it very much.
At some point, the car stopped. Jiang Xi turned her head. There were no restaurants around, only a street of small shops.
She looked at Xu Cheng. He lifted his chin, signaling her to look.
Jiang Xi looked over and saw A-Wu.
